Fancy trying something a bit different, learning new illustration and painting techniques, or simply having a bit of fun? This workshop might just be for you! In this one-off workshop tutor Abigail Harris will guide you through the process of creating a still life painting. Beginning with a few warmup exercises, you’ll have the opportunity to play with watercolour, ink and crayon (or anything else you fancy!). Abigail will then move on to teaching the main part of the workshop where you’ll create your own take on the still life photo provided. You can choose a section to illustrate or recreate the whole thing – the choice is completely up to you! The focus of this workshop is to not only learn technical skills when handling different media but to have fun. Whether you have developed an illustrative style already or are completely new to creating art this workshop will provide a friendly, chilled environment to play, have fun and expand on your creative skill set.
Abigail is a freelance illustrator and pet portrait artist who graduated with a degree in Illustration from the University of Plymouth. Abigail now works in her home studio, working on a range of commissions as well as running a small Etsy shop.
